Albany

26 th April 2020

We got a phone call tonight from Gavin who owns Out and About fishing saying they had some large Kahawai caught this afternoon were we interested in some . Silly question yes please we said. We went and collected 3 large fish and they will be smoked tomorrow. This was the view over Albany we passed in the way back to the caravan park .

John had his 66 th birthday whilst we are here in Albany.  Friends Pauline and John decided that they wanted to cook a Greek meal for John. Wow what a spread .





4th May 

With the Coronavirus no longer in Albany or Esperance where fortunately there were no cases. We have decided to move onto Esperance where Margaret has got work at Bunnings there . 

Our friend Gaven from Out there fishing gave us a call on Saturday night and said he had 6 Kawhai for us. John was all smile's.








3 large baskets of fish waiting to be smoked.


We kept one fish for having as crumbed fish . It was beautiful. The fish melted in the mouth .

We try to go for a walk most days to get some exercise. Todays photos.

Kuranda to Woodford then Adelaide

4 th November We went and stayed at Kuranda with Anne and Paul McCorry( John sister) for 3 nights . It was a lovely  relaxing time . Whilst we were there we gave the truck and caravan a good wash and the little car also. John cooked liver and bacon for tea one evening for the boys this went down wonderfully. Kevin their neighbour came over for tea and ended up taking the left overs for tea . This sure did make Kevin`s day. Photos below of John cooking and Anne feeding some of the farm animals. It is Bob 76 birthday today and Dot is having a birthday lunch on Saturday the 9 th . We had a lovely day on Saturday for Bob`s birthday and met all his grandchildren and children. In lockdown Albany area.

7th March 2020 A beautiful day and no wind . Time for a spot of fishing down at the beach . The sand is so white and fine. This beach is only 11 k from the caravan park . It is called Goode Beach . Margaret and our friend John trying to catch a salmon , the water was very warm great for swimming in. Sadly no luck with catching any fish. After having no luck fishing at the beach we decided to try our luck at the boat ramp . Yes we caught quite a few Herrings which we will use for bait.                          John and Pauline Bambalos enjoying a quiet time fishing off the wharf 9 th March We decided to visit the old whale station that is situated just along the coast from the Panorama  Caravan Park  where we are staying.  A great view driving along the cost . The cost was $35.00 per person and $29.00 for pensioners. We thought this is too expensive so had a look around the information centre there and out to sea.
